sunnysideupI’ve decided to try a new feature in my blog:  Sunny Side Up (I actually like over medium eggs lol) me trying to be my funny, sarcastic, positive, off the wall self!  I am going to show my positive side.  My life is not all doom and gloom, And WovenEclipse helped me see that.  So, thank you Rebecca!

You have no idea what you’ve unleashed into the Blogosphere.

So, hmmm, how should I get started?  Ah yes, a topic near and dear to my heart:  parking.  It has always been curious to me-and I won’t lie, slightly annoying-why it is some people have to back into a parking space instead of pulling forward into it.  I’m talking about those spaces that only have one point of exit/entry, not Walmart-type spaces here.

Yup, that’s my earth-shattering first Sunny Side Up topic!  Seriously, if you are one of those who practices this, please share with me:

What the hell is the purpose?

I’ve always hoped and prayed that folks who do this do not REALLY think that they are saving time for when they have to make their quick getaway.  Right?  Come on, right??!!  I’m completely sucky at math, but if I had to go out on a limb, I am fairly confident that it takes the same amount of time REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU BACK IN OR PULL FORTH, and REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU DO IT AS YOU ARRIVE OR AS YOU LEAVE.

Then again, I could have it all wrong.  Perhaps this is a society of people who have a disorder:  maybe it is a compulsion, they have to create the perceived convenience of pulling straight out of a space when they LEAVE vs. pulling straight in when they arrive.  What would the name of such a diagnosis for this disorder be?  Parkaphobia?  Backin In Syndrome?  Any thoughts?

Please!  Let me know immediately if you have a logical answer, share your thoughts!  This Epic Behavior has troubled me for years.
